Actor Sanjay Dutt has again been granted a 30 days parole by the state administration, who is convicted in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act. He was sentenced for a five year imprisonment by the Supreme Court in Pune’s Yerwada jail. According to the reports, Sanjay applied for a parole in the month of June 2015, citing that his daughter was not keeping well and doctor has suggested for a nose surgery for her. After all the legal formalities of granting parole are completed, Sanjay Dutt is going to spend these days with his family.
According to the lawsuit, a furlough is the right of a prisoner in which he is granted a 28 days of exemption in a year, however parole is granted only under extreme conditions. If we see the reason that why Sanjay’s parole is being criticized, it would be that since his sentence in 2013 has been out on parole for almost 146 days.
